Custom Dog Portraits

Donated to Best Friend Animal Sanctuary

Denzel - Pit Bull Terrier

Denzel is a resident at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanob, Utah. He is one of the Pit Bull Terriers taken from Michael Vick's property. This piece was done as a donation to Best Friends in the hopes it will help raise some much needed funds to care for all the animals.

Abby - GSD Mix

Abby is the much loved companion of a friend's grandchildren. This piece was commissioned as a Christmas gift.

Ringo - Belgian Malinois

K-9 Ringo is a working dog who along with his partner spends his days serving this great country. They are both hard working and dedicated to protecting us all. This piece was done to thank Ringo and Officer Josh for all they do to keep us safe.

Daisy - Chow Mix

Daisy was the much loved companion of a friend from work. She left us for the Rainbow Bridge shortly after this piece was finished. She was 14 years old. This piece was commissioned by Daisy's "aunt" as a gift to commenorate Daisy's life.

This piece was done to honor the hard work and dedication the K-9 officers and their partners bring to their jobs every day at my place of employment. It depicts the 3 different breeds of dogs (German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, and Belgian Malinois) used as explosive detection K-9s.

The piece was done as 4 separate windows which were then put together into 1 larger window. The compass rose on the upper left side was made of clear bevels which were painted red.

I am flattered the officers liked the piece so much that they will be hanging it in their training facility for future generations of officers and K-9's to enjoy.

We are very pleased that Pets In Glass was chosen to do a custom stained glass piece of
AKC BISS Ch. Surenuf Dancin to the Rhythm, HT, NJP, a.k.a. Eric.
The finished window measures 3 feet tall by 2 feet wide.
Eric's breeder, Karen Broadus, has been a friend for the past 12 years. We were thrilled when Karen asked us to do this piece of Eric.
Eric competed at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show on
February 11, 2008, where he received an Award of Merit, a huge honor at a show like Westminster. Congratulations to Eric and his handler, Clint Livingston, on receiving the Award of Merit. You both did a wonderful job!

Puddy

Puddy is a working K-9 with the Port of Seattle Police bomb detection unit. He was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer in early 2008. Puddy is full of life and through all his treatments, he has been a trooper and never shown any signs of wanting to give up the fight. In addition to serving his community, Puddy brings a lot of joy to a lot of people. This piece was commissioned by his "Aunt" as a gift for Puddy's loving partner and mom.

Shine - Border Collie

Shine is the much loved Border Collie "grandson" of a friend. This piece was commissioned based on the photo to the right as a gift for her daughter.

Smokey - Lab Mix

Life didn't look very promising for Smokey when he first started out. He was owned by someone who treated him very poorly. Then he was adopted by a very loving family in Illinois. It took a while for Smokey to understand that humans are basically very nice. He now has a good life, with a family that adores him. Smokey is enjoying his "senior" years as a much loved member of his adopted family.

Louis - Lab Mix

Louis belongs to a co-worker and her husband. He is a really sweet Lab mix who has more enthusiasm for life than any 10 people I know put together. This piece was done from the first picture on the right. The second picture on the right was provided by Louis' mom to show the comparison of the finished glass piece to the "model".

Chester - Lab Mix

Chester belongs to the young man who walks my dog in the afternoons while I'm at work. This piece was done from the picture to the right. Chester is actually darker than he appears in the picture, that's why I used a darker color glass.

Search & Rescue
(click on the picture to the left to see the calendar which includes this portrait)

This piece was done as a donation to the Virginia Search & Rescue Dog Association. It was based on the picture to the right, but modified so that it would "work" better in glass without a lot of lines going through the flag stripes. These dogs and their handlers work incredibly hard during any diseaster and are worthy of as much support as we can provide them. Please visit them at: http://www.vsrda.org/index.htm
