Custom Dog Portraits

We are very pleased to announce that Pets In Glass has been commissioned to do a stained glass piece of
AKC BISS Ch. Surenuf Dancin to the Rhythm, HT, a.k.a. Eric.
The finished window measures 3 feet tall by 2 feet wide.
Eric's breeder, Karen Broadus, has been a friend for the past 12 years. We were thrilled when Karen asked us to do this piece of Eric.
Eric competed at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show on February 11, 2008. Though he did not win Best of Breed, he did receive an Award of Merit, which is also a huge honor.
Congratulations to
Eric and his handler, Clint Livingston, on receiving the
Award of Merit. You both did a wonderful job!

Shine

Shine is the much loved Border Collie "grand-son" of a friend. This piece was commissioned based on the photo to the right as a gift for her daughter.

Smokey

Smokey's life didn't look very promising when he first started out. He was owned by someone who treated him very poorly. Then he was adopted by a very loving family in Illinois. It took a while for Smokey to understand that humans, as a whole, are basically very nice. He now has a good life, with a family that adores him. Smokey is enjoying his "senior" years a much loved member of his adopted family.

Louis

Louis belongs to a co-worker and her husband. He is a really sweet Lab mix who has more enthusiasm for life than any 10 people I know put together. This piece was done from the picture first picture on the right. The second picture on the right ight was provided by Louis' mom to show the comparison of the finished glass piece to the "model".

Chester

Chester belongs to the young man who walks my dog in the afternoons while I'm at work. This piece was done from the picture to the right. Chester is actually darker than he appears in the picture, that's why I used a darker color glass.

Search & Rescue
(click on the picture to see the calendar which includes this portrait)

This piece was done as a donation to the Virginia Search & Rescue Dog Association. It was based on the picture to the right, but modified so that it would "work" better in glass without a lot of lines going through the flag stripes. These dogs and their handlers work incredibly hard during any diseaster. Please visit them at: http://www.vsrda.org/index.htm
